Open my eyes despite what I see from day to day.
The light keeps me warm but my heart stays cold sold to the highest bidders.
Sex, money, fame help my soul wither in this world of cold handed pats on the back.
Smiles, handshakes and its ok we all make mistakes.
Judgment is never ending.
Motivation brought to us by fear of losing what’s not ours from the start.
Far from the stars but I still reach not sure what they will unleash or teach.
Close my eyes despite what I see from day to day.
The darkness makes me unsure of what’s to come.
But I will not hide I will not run.
My smile and love is like lava hot enough to melt the ice that’s on a mission to freeze my progression.
